What you should know about a photo shoot with London Professional Photographer

Many of the people who contact me have never hired a professional photographer before. If you’re thinking of having professional photographs for yourself, your family or as a couple, there are several things you might like to know, which can improve your experience and ensure you get the most out of your session.

  • Location

London is a great place to have a photo shoot. There are usually 2 major options to get an outdoor photo shoot: in a park or Central London. If you want a relaxed, fun session, best for families and couples, the parks in London are the perfect location. Hyde Park, Regents Park, Holland Park are just a few places where we can find a quiet space to create beautiful images. If you prefer having an important landmark in the background, keep in mind that Central London is very crowded. So if you want  Big Ben by your side, you’ll have to consider that hundreds of people will pass by. Either way you’ll be sure to have a memorable experience!

  • What to wear

There are certainly no rules about what you should wear at a photo shoot, and of course it depends on the type of session, but I find a smart casual look works best in most cases. Some people do feel slightly intimidated in front of the camera, especially if this is their first experience of this kind. That’s why the most important thing is for you to feel comfortable, sexy and confident. How you feel reflects in the photos, so make sure to wear something you like! I always try to make people feel at ease so I can offer advice and we can discuss this before the session.

  • Makeup & Hair

If you’re having a portrait shoot in particular, makeup can make a big difference in terms of getting a great, professional look. An amazing photograph isn't just about great composition and colors but great makeup can bring the most out of your own natural looks! If you can do your own makeup and hair that will look clean and stylish then we’re good to go! But if you’d like, we also collaborate with professional makeup artists who can come and help get the look that you want.

  • Photographic Style

We tend to capture a contemporary, fresh look for your photographs, mainly taking candid shots in the session. So you don’t have to worry about looking at the camera all the time or pose, but rather feel you’re just having a relaxed day out while we capture the best moments. Some suggestions will be made throughout the session to get the best composition and details, so you can rest assured we’ll create beautiful images.

  • Photographs

All our packages offer the digital files in full resolution, with enhancing included. This means that for each image we work on color correction, contrast, sharpening, light balance, etc. So our job doesn’t finish until we get the best look out of your photos! Sometimes this might mean hours of enhancing, so please be patient as we need some time to deliver the final images. We usually deliver within one week of the session. However, you can be sure it is well worth the wait, as professional enhancing makes big difference! And if you’re looking for a little more on some of your favorite photos, we also offer skin retouching at extra cost.
